Cookie Policy
What are Cookies and how do they help?
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Your browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.) stores small bits of code called cookies. Your browser probably has 100s of them currently stored. These pieces of data help create a personalized internet for you. Cookies tell websites and apps various types of information. Mostly, they are used to remember your device and its associated accounts so you can stay logged into these accounts without having to enter your details every time you visit a website. They are also heavily used for targeting advertisements.
Cookies and Advertisements
Cookies are how you get an ad for volleyballs on Facebook after visiting a volleyball website or searching for volleyballs on a search engine. The search engine/website gave a cookie to your browser (Chrome etc.) that told Facebook you are interested in volleyballs (or whatever). We (and most of the internet) use cookies in the same way for advertising. I look at it like this; I’m going to have to see ads anyway so I might as well see ads that I might be interested in.
Our website gives your browser the same cookies as any other website. They say if you visited our website recently. Our website also reads the cookies already attached to your browser to understand our users’ intent and history better for analytics reasons. That’s about it.
Online Shopping and Cookies
Most online shops require cookies to function. Our online shop is no different. Cookies are how we save products you want to your online shopping cart. These cookies are required to build customers’ orders and complete the shopping process. They also make it possible for you to come back at a later time and complete a previously started order without logging into a website. You can delete these cookies after your purchase in your browser’s settings.
You can disable cookies on your browser, but you will soon find out how much they actually help you navigate the web. Turning off cookies is different for each type of browser so you will have to look up how to do it if this is something that interests you.
